Barre Elks presented a check for $445 to Rich McSheffrey to benefit Cornerstone Field. The funds were proceeds from the First Annual Barre Elks Disc golf tournament organized and chaired by Rick Garibaldi of Barre Elks. The funds will be used toward the restoration of the field, where Rick once played ball with his friends. Cornerstone Field’s Fund raising organizers, state: “Every child in this city deserves the right to be able to experience all of the amazing things that the game of baseball has to offer. With your help we will raise the funds to insure that our local children have the opportunity to play in a safe, fun, well coached and organized sport without needing all of the financial resources that are often required to be a part of an activity that offers similar resources. Our Cornerstone vision is to give every kid the opportunity to thrive regardless of their ability or social status. …”
