State Soccer Shoot finals held in St. Albans

The 2018 Vermont Elks State Soccer Shoot was held in St. Albans at the Collins Perley complex.  Competitors from all around the State were on hand to compete in the finals.  Following the shoot out, the St. Albans Elks Lodge provided a meal for all participants and their families.  The top 3 winners in each category were announced.  Now the first place winners will travel to Latham, NY for the Region I Shoot to be held on November 2,3, and 4th.  All their expenses will be paid by the Elks.

St. Albans Elks Lodge #1566 presents awards for the local soccer shoot winners

The St. Albans Elk’s Lodge recently had their local soccer shoot winners banquet! There were 219 participants at the local soccer shoot.  Congratulations to all of the winners! You all did an incredible job and should be so proud. A BIG shout out and thank you to Chris Hall and Nikki Hall for all of their time and dedication to our lodge and the soccer shoot program. None of this would be possible without either of you!

SPRINGFIELD ELKS LODGE 1560 SOCCER SHOOT RESULTS

  Recently, Springfield Elks Lodge held their annual soccer shoots in Chester and Springfield.  The results from both shoots were combined, so now overall winners in each age group will compete at the Vt. Elks Soccer finals on Oct. 14th, in St. Albans, Vt.
 
    The Under age 8 boys winner was Weston Peck of Springfield, with 2nd place going to Bently Bonneville of Chester.  For the girls Under 8 group Haleigh Goodrich of Springfield was the 1st place winner with  Keeli Stewart of Chester in 2nd place.   In the Under age 10 group for boys the winner was Kaiden McCarthy of Chester and 2nd place was Seth Pelkey of Chester.  For the girls in the Under 10 age group, Harper Palmer of Springfield was the 1st place winner, with Sophia  Cherubini of Chester in 2nd place.   In the Under 12 age group for boys, Caleb Merrow was a 1st place winner with Max Peebles coming in 2nd.  For the girls, the 1st place winner was Linsey Miles of Chester with Amelia Murchie of Springfield coming in 2nd.

Bennington Youth Activities

On Saturday September 15th we held our annual Soccer Shoot. It was a beautiful day for the kids to come out and try their soccer skills.
We had 45 kids come to show off their skills. They all did a great job and had some fun!
Our winners will have another chance to try it again in St. Albans, Vt. on October 14th at the Collin Perkins Sports & Fitness Center.

SPRINGFIELD ELKS SOCCER SHOOTERS SHINE AT STATE SOCCER SHOOT

    Springfield Elks Lodge #1560, sent seven local soccer shoot winners to St. Albans to compete in the Vt. Elks soccer shoot.  Three of the seven came back as State Champions.   
   
    They will be competing in the Elks Regional Soccer Shoot in Nashua, NH on November 3, 4 &5th with all expenses paid by the Elks. 
 
    Springfield’s lucky winners are as follow.  In the U-8 group Addelyn Snide daughter Jason Snide and Jennifer Goodrich of Springfield.  In the  U-10 for boys will be Jake Tostrup son of Janet and Jason Tostrup of Springfield.  In the U-14 for boys will be Tristin Parker the son of Kristin Parker of Springfield. 
 
    These three competitors will be treated to a great weekend by the Elks and will meet kids from all over New England and New York state.   Kids will mingle with 53 other kids.  Parents will entertain themselves by meeting the parents of all the competitors.  Springfield Elks Lodge is very proud to be sending them to Nashua and wish them luck.

Ryan Marcell is going to Nashua, NH for the Soccer Shoot Regional Competition

In this picture is the boy from Windsor Vt., who took first place in the boys group ages 7 & under. His name is Ryan Marcell son of Kathleen Ryan and Josh Marcell.from Windsor Vt.. He is shown being presented with a trophy and a gift certificate for his parents to buy gas to take him to Nashua N.H. for the Regional competition. 

Presenting the gift and trophy is Exalted Ruler Nathan Willard and District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler Norman J. Marshall.

Vermont Elks State Soccer Shoot Finals held in St. Albans

The Vermont Elks State Soccer Shoot was held on Sunday October 15, 2017 at the Collins Perley Complex in St. Albans.  Elks volunteers from around the state were on hand to make the event a fun activity for the contestants.  The Soccer Shooters represented cities and towns from throughout the State. 

After the competition was completed, everyone moved to the St. Albans Elks Lodge for a Spaghetti lunch and the presentation of the awards.

The First place winners will now go to the Elks Region I Soccer Shoot to be held November 3, 4, and 5, 2017 in Nashua, NH hosted by the New Hampshire Elks.

The Vermont Elks host the 7 State Area 1 Soccer Shoot

The Area 1 Soccer Shoot was held on November 4-5-6, 2016.  The St. Albans Elks Lodge #1566 and the Burlington Elks Lodge #916 co-hosted the event.  The 7 States representing the Area 1 are Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.  Lodge officers from all the States both past and present along with many volunteers were on hand to make the event run very smoothly.  The activities started with a registration and pizza party for all the contestants, their parents and siblings on Friday night.  On Saturday morning the competition was held at the Collins Perley complex in St. Albans followed with a lunch at the St. Albans Lodge.     On Saturday evening the activities moved to the Burlington Elks Lodge for the Banquet and Awards presentations.

SPRINGFIELD ELKS LODGE #1560 – LOCAL SOCCER WINNERS ATTEND VT. ELKS SOCCER SHOOT

 Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 soccer shoot chairman Victor Baskevich and Exalted Ruler Vicki Siliski took the local winners from Springfield and Chester to the Vt. Elks State Soccer Shoot in St. Albans, Vt. on October 16th.
 Participants were U-8 girls and boys winners, Brielle Pelletier and Finnegan Kelley both of Springfield.  For the U-10’s they were Ava Anderson and Max Peebles both of Chester.  For the U-12’s they were Luna Burkland and Noah Cherubini both of Chester.  In the U-14 age group there was Kayla Quelch of Springfield and Tristin Parker of Chester.
The participants were feted to a luncheon and awards ceremony lead by Chris Hall State Soccer Chairperson and State President Bob Campo.

ST. ALBANS ELKS LODGE #1566 HOLDS ANNUAL LOCAL SOCCER SHOOT

The Local Soccer Shoot was held on Saturday September the 17th at the Hard’ack complex. Great weather, good turnout and lots of fun for everyone. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs for everyone.  Winners will now move ahead and compete at the Elks State Soccer shoot that will be held at the Collins-Perley complex on October 16th.
