SPRINGFIELD ELKS LODGE 1560 ANNUAL HOOP SHOOT RESULTS

    Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 held there annual Hoop Shoot for boys and girls ages 8 to 13 at Riverside Middle School on December 9, 2018.
    In the 8 & 9 year old group for girls, the first place winner was Savannah Dezaine followed in 2nd place by Hailey Magill.  For the boys in the same age group, the first place winner was Matthew Durphey with Kaiden McCarthy in 2nd place.   For the 10 & 11 year old girls, the winner was Kiko Boyens and 2nd place went to Amelia Murchie.  For the boys in the same age group, the winner was Caden Benson with James Gultekin coming in 2nd.  The 12 & 13 year old winners for girls was Gabriella Anders with Madison Glidden in 2nd place.  For the boys, the winner was Dylan McCarthy and 2nd place to Tanner Gintof.
    The 1st and 2nd place winners were presented with a nice Elks trophies, and all participants were presented with Elks miniature basketballs.  Chairman Victor Baskevich announced that the 1st place winners will now compete in the Southern District Elks Hoop shoot on Jan. 13th 2018 in Springfield, Vt. at the Springfield High School starting at 10:00 AM.  The public is invited to attend.

Vermont Hoop Shoot goes to the State House

Vt Regional Hoop Shoot – Three First Place Winners!!

The Vt boys took home three first place winners.  Brennon Crossman from Rutland in the 12-13 year old bracket also took home the Walter Kettelle trophy for high score of the day and the Amos McCullen trophy for perfect score of 25/25.   The 8-9 winner with a score of 22/25 was Eathan Whalen from Rutland and the 10-11 winner  with a score of 24/25 was Jacobie Lafferty from Burlington. The three of them are on their way to Chicago April 20-23 for the Nationals.

Vermont State Hoop Shoot Winners

The Vt. Elks held the State Hoop Shoot Saturday Jan. 28, 2017 at Spaulding High School. These 6 winners will now go onto the Regional shoot in South Portland, Maine March 24,25,and 26 th.

Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 holds their annual Hoop Shoot

  Saturday, Nov. 18, Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 held their annual Hoop Shoot for kids ages 8 to 14.   Trophies were given out to the following winners for 1st & 2nd place.   Girls age 8-9 winner was Ava Anderson.  For the boys, Calan Morrie  won 1st place and James Gultekin took 2nd.   Boys ages 10-11 the winner was Noah Simino   and Caden Benson was a 2nd place winner.   There were no girls entered in the 10-11 age group.  For the 12-13 girls results, Eliza Burbela  was a 1st place winner with Ariana Cioffi placing 2nd.  For boys, Daevon Albanese  was a 1st place winner and Braden Morrie finished in 2nd place.
    All first place winners will represent Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 at the Elks Southern District Hoop Shoot in Springfield on January 10th.   If for some reason a first place winner cannot attend the second place winner in will compete their place.

New England Regional Hoop Shoot Competition, Held In Westbrook, Maine

The New England Regional Basketball Hoop Shoot competition was held Saturday March 19th 2016 in Westbrook Maine at the Westbrook High School Gym. Each New England State sent 6 teams to compete ages 8-9, 10-11 & 12-13.  Congratulations to everyone who competed.

Jacob Kocis of Newport, VT won 1st place in the 10-11 age group and will be going to Chicago on April 16th to represent New England in the finals!

Vermont Elks State Hoop Shoot Results for 2016

The Vermont State Elks hoop shoot was held Jan. 30 th at Spaulding high school.  Six winners will be going to South Portland Maine March 18 , 19, and 20 for the Regional contest.
